Designed by Bill Stumpf (1936-2006), as are so many of Herman Miller and Hille chairs, the Aeron has become not only iconic and highly desired, despite its price, but it has also become part of the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection. Its stylish looks are not the only reason for its inclusion: Its ergonomics, which obviously lead to long term comfort with its aerated back and seat combined with many adjustments; but it is also 94% recyclable, although it should be years before the later is put to the test.
